Size Reduction Equipment

The Retsch Cutting Mill SM 300 is designed for the efficient size reduction of a wide range of materials, including soft, medium-hard, tough, elastic, fibrous, and heterogeneous mixtures. Equipped with a robust 3 kW motor and innovative Rotational Energy Storage (RES) technology, it delivers high torque and peak power up to 20 kW, enabling the processing of challenging samples that other mills cannot handle. The variable speed setting from 100 to 3,000 rpm allows precise adaptation to specific application requirements, ensuring optimal grinding results. The SM 300 features double-acting cutting bars and a selection of rotors and bottom sieves with aperture sizes ranging from 0.25 to 20 mm, facilitating defined final fineness. Its design emphasizes user convenience and safety, offering tool-free removal of the push-fit rotor and fold-back hopper for easy cleaning, along with safety mechanisms to prevent operation when the door is open. Optional accessories, such as a cyclone separator, enhance performance by improving sample discharge and cooling, making the SM 300 suitable for heat-sensitive materials. This cutting mill is ideal for applications in agriculture, biology, chemistry, plastics, environment, recycling, food, medicine, and pharmaceuticals, providing reliable and reproducible results across various sample types.
